Who we are
Noon is a weekly matchmaking platform built for University of Toronto students. We're a student-run project — not a corporation — and we take your privacy seriously because we're users too.
When we say "we", "us", or "Noon", we mean the team behind noonmatches.com.
What we collect
When you sign up and build your profile, we collect:
We only collect what's needed to make good matches. Everything optional is genuinely optional.
What we share — and with whom
Your contact info (socials, phone, email) is only ever shared with your weekly match, and only after the Friday reveal. Nobody else sees it.
To make better matches, we use an AI system to help pair people based on compatibility. Your profile answers (like your bio, interests, and what you're looking for) may be processed by this system. We never send your name, email, or any directly identifying information to the AI — only your answers.
We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with advertisers. We do not share it with third parties beyond what's described here.
How we store your data
Your data is stored securely on our servers. Passwords are hashed — we never store them in plain text and cannot read them. Your data is not accessible to anyone outside the Noon team.
We use industry-standard security practices, but no system is perfectly secure. Please use a strong, unique password.
Your rights
You can request that we delete your account and all associated data at any time by emailing us. We'll confirm and process deletion within 7 days.
You can also update or correct your information at any time from your profile page.
Cookies
We use a single session cookie to keep you logged in. That's it. No tracking cookies, no advertising pixels, no third-party analytics that follow you around the web.
Changes to this policy
If we make meaningful changes to how we handle your data, we'll let you know via email before those changes take effect. The "last updated" date at the top of this page always reflects the most recent version.
